Frank Recruitment Group celebrates a decade in businessA global recruitment agency focused exclusively on the enterprise software market is celebrating a decade in business.

Frank Recruitment Group started life on the 1 November 2006 at a small office in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. At the time, the company employed just three people – two of which were the company’s founders Sean Wadsworth and Nigel O’Donoghue.

Ten years on, Frank Recruitment Group is the fastest growing staffing agency in the world. With 14 offices in the UK, USA, Asia and Australia, the company now employs over 1,200 people across its six core IT recruitment brands.

Co-founder and Chief Financial Officer, Nigel O’Donoghue, commented: “We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved as a business.

“In 10 years, and with the help of our investors and employees, we have turned one small start-up into the Frank Recruitment Group, an award-winning global recruitment business with 1,200 employees and 14 offices spread across the UK, USA, Berlin, Australia and Singapore.”

CEO James Lloyd-Townshend said: “With 2017 on the horizon we have huge growth plans in place for all of our brands. We plan to add an additional 200 people to our new office in Philadelphia in the coming months; and we’re also scouting new locations for further offices across the United States.

“Our business is growing at an incredibly exciting and frankly unparalleled rate. With the very best career progression opportunities there’s never been a better time to work for us.”

Frank Recruitment Group started life in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2006.

In 2009, the company identified Microsoft Dynamics as its niche – a bold move that would inform its business model for years to come. After opening offices in Newcastle and London, the company went stateside in 2010, launching Nigel Frank’s first USA base in New York.

2010 also saw the arrival of the group’s second brand, Mason Frank, and in 2011 expanded its scope of delivery from Microsoft Dynamics to other Microsoft ‘stack’ products such as SharePoint, Lync, BI and SQL server. Three years later the company launched two additional high-growth brands: Churchill Frank, which focuses on big data, and Washington Frank, FRG’s incubator brand – which specialises in staffing opportunities in emerging cloud technologies.

In 2015 the firm’s global headcount reached 600, and achieved further growth in April 2016 as a landmark investment deal helped the company launch two new brands – Anderson Frank and Pearson Frank.

Today, the company employs 1,200 people across four continents.
