CV-Library opens first office in Birmingham

May 5, 2016  /   No Comments

The UK’s fastest-growing job site, CV-Library, has opened a new office in Birmingham to support its rapid expansion. Enabling the business to better serve its Midlands clients, the new office places the brand right in the heart of the UK’s second largest population.

Located in Quayside Tower, the team is headed up by recruitment veteran and Birmingham business advocate, Roma Aitken. With over 14 years of experience in the sector and a passion for Birmingham business, Roma is in charge of a team that will help Midlands employers find and recruit the best talent.

Roma Aitken, Sales Manager, said: “I’m thrilled to join the CV-Library team at such an exciting time for the company – being an independently owned business, CV-Library is unique within the sector in that it has the agility to adapt to industry needs. I am from Birmingham and have worked in the city for over 12 years, so I have a real passion for building the local economy and helping small businesses flourish in the Midlands. Having the opportunity to grow CV-Library’s presence in the region, while leveraging the company’s market position to connect Midland-based businesses to talented candidates, is truly exciting.”

The expansion comes just three months after the business opened the doors of its first London-based office, which has grown rapidly in the first quarter of 2016. With plans to grow the Birmingham office just as rapidly, the CV-Library expansion will create jobs in the region and will aid in boosting the Birmingham economy.

Lee Biggins, CV-Library’s Founder and Managing Director, commented: “The company is growing beyond all expectations, and an office in Birmingham is a critical step in our plan for expansion across the country; this new regional office is the second of many over the coming years. Having an advocate for Birmingham business at the helm of the office is really exciting, and this expansion will enable us to further strengthen our relationships with Midland-based clients and create new opportunities in the region.

“The company has achieved great success in the first quarter of 2016 and our regional expansion will only help the business reach its ambitious growth targets and allow us to continue providing high quality service to our clients.”

Created in 2000, CV-Library’s online job board has grown at a rapid pace; the site currently boasts over 130,000 jobs from over 10,500 clients, as well as a candidate database of over 10 million CVs.
