Gemini People celebrating Midlands expansion

Gemini People celebrating Midlands expansionLondon-based creative and digital recruitment specialists Gemini People recently opened their second office in Birmingham, allowing them to expand their services into the important Midlands area.

The new office expansion will give Gemini People the opportunity to further develop its offering in the creative and digital markets, as well as increase its ability to cater to regional clients.

It will be headed up by Claire Summerfield, former Managing Director of Blue Skies. Claire has over 13 years’ experience in the recruitment industry and is a key addition to the Gemini People board.

Claire commented: “I’m delighted to join the team at Gemini People and to expand their offering into the Midlands. The exceptional talent in the regions creative markets combined with the business investment into the area have created a thriving sector and I’m excited to be bringing Gemini People to Birmingham. With honesty and partnerships at the heart of the business, I’m confident we’ll be bringing a market-leading offering into the area.”

Birmingham, the UK’s second largest city, has the most vibrant start-up community outside of London, with more than 17,000 businesses born in 2016. It is a natural next step for the development of the Gemini People brand. Currently benefiting from a £1 billion HS2 fuelled investment, the opportunities in the region are attracting many new players into the local economy. The arrival of the new HSBC UK head office in 2018 is supporting that growth with 2500 employees planned to be based in the Birmingham purpose-built head office. Gemini People’s arrival will herald an import step for the business as they seek to develop markets alongside its London offering.

Michelle Watson, Gemini People’s CEO, commented: “This was the next logical step in the Gemini People journey. We’re very excited to have Claire on board and we are looking forward to expanding our reach and creating powerhouse partnerships with candidates and clients in Birmingham. We’re confident that we will be able to continue to offer a market defining service. The feedback from our candidates and clients has already been incredibly positive and we have been assured of a warm welcome. This is another important landmark in the Gemini People journey and our future continues to feel extremely exciting.”
