Recruitment industry body APSCo has joined forces with professional services company Deloitte to carry out a major survey of the recruitment sector.
The survey will gather key operational and financial performance benchmarking metrics, which it’s hoped will help recruitment companies to improve their understanding of their position in the market, and how efficiently they perform in comparison with their peers.
According to APSCo, this is “the first major survey of its type” as so far, there have been a number of small-scale surveys, which are not as effective for benchmarking purposes.
The topics the survey will cover include typical staff ratios, margins, and the size and spread of recruitment businesses. In sectors where there is a sufficient number of participants, further reports may be produced to break those sectors down into detail.
The survey is open to any recruitment agency, it is not necessary to be a member of APSCo. The closing date is 26 July and the report will be sent to participants in September. It can be found here.
