The creation of a Chartered Management Institute qualification in talent acquisition is among the new services the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) is planning for this year.
APSCo has announced a wide range of developments for 2015, which also include a new initiative with the British Standards Institute (BSI) to establish a globally recognised quality standard for recruitment.
Other plans for the year ahead include:
- The expansion of the paid intern programme to include universities across the UK, Singapore and now Hong Kong;
- A new initiative with Business Disability Forum which will include guides for members and end clients, events and white papers;
- A three-day thought leadership event for senior recruitment executives in partnership with Deloitte in May;
- A new initiative to provide practical support to women in recruitment which will include research, training, best practice guides and networking events;
- The creation of new regional business forums created to cover the Midlands, Northern England and Scotland.
“We have always maintained that this is an association that never stands still and 2015 will see our most ambitious range of new initiatives yet,” said Ann Swain, chief executive of APSCo.
“We also understand that a global recruitment profession needs global representation and so we will be expanding our international offering – so watch this space.”
