APSCo launches programme for start-ups

March 31, 2016  /   No Comments

The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) has unveiled a new membership offering built exclusively for new businesses and micro-businesses.

The APSCo New Enterprise programme has been designed by recruitment experts specifically for businesses in their early stages and will offer specialist support and guidance for rising stars looking to achieve their next level of growth.

New Enterprise membership includes access to over 20 support services including supplier discounts, a dedicated legal and compliance helpdesk, downloadable model documents, a contract review service and mentoring opportunities amongst others.

The initiative is led by Graeme Read who, with over 20 years’ experience in the recruitment profession, has joined APSCo as Head of Enterprising Members & International Markets.

Speaking of the venture, Ann Swain, APSCo CEO, said: “The UK is a nation of entrepreneurs and the recruitment profession was built by savvy, enterprising go-getters. It is our mission to best support fledging businesses within our profession from the very beginning to ensure they are afforded every opportunity to maximise their success.”

Commenting on the launch, Graeme Read, Head of Enterprising Members & International Markets, at APSCo added:

“All the recruitment giants began as startups and microSMEs however it’s a sad fact that despite the very best intentions, over half of new start-ups fail in the first three years. By offering the benefits of APSCo’s network alongside practical support around areas such as market intelligence, helplines, and online and physical forums, APSCo’s New Enterprise programme provides members with an important competitive edge that makes them significantly more likely to realise their full potential.”
