PageGroup announces new chief information officer

Recruitment firm PageGroup has appointed Rene Berende as its new group chief information officer (CIO).

Berende started at PageGroup in March 2014 as regional IT director and was previously the CIO, among other roles, at Canon EMEA. Responsible for more than 400 staff, Berende had strong international experience having lived and worked in many countries across Europe, including Italy, the Netherlands and France.

PageGroup CEO, Steve Ingham, said of the appointment: “Rene brings a very practical, pragmatic, straightforward and commercial approach to technology. He has thoroughly impressed the members of the executive board since he joined the company earlier this year.

“I am confident that Rene will provide strong leadership for business technology, a clear vision and strategy, as well as a successful rollout of our internal recruiting system to the majority of PageGroup in 2015.”
