Global recruitment firm BIE Executive has marked the launch of its new specialist advisory service arm with the appointment of former EY deputy managing partner Richard King as non-executive chairman.
King, who sat on the EY Global Management Group and headed up the firm’s UK and Ireland practice, brings with him more than 35 years’ professional services experience.
The firm believes his insight will be central to the roll out of the new advisory service, which has been designed to offer a comprehensive package of partnering and support for clients facing major business challenges.
Rob Walker, CEO of BIE Executive said: “Appointing someone of Richard’s calibre to the board is a major coup. Lots of chairmen in our industry are former recruiters but we wanted to bring a genuinely fresh perspective to the table. We’re confident Richard’s counsel will be instrumental in the success of our new advisory arm.
“We believe there’s an opportunity to provide a joined up service bridging the gap between recruitment and consultancy – one that provides real and workable solutions, as well as a much needed sounding board, whether clients find themselves at the stages of thinking of embarking on a transformation journey or simply requiring a delivery capability other than professional services.”
