The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) has appointed Julie Bowen as its new Head of Professional Development.
Bowen previously held the role of member services manager at APSCo. She has over 25 years’ experience in human resources and training and development, most recently as head of talent development at Adecco Group.
She will take the reins from Fiona Lander, who has successfully grown and developed the APSCo PD brand during her three years at the helm. Lander will continue to work with APSCo in a consultative capacity while focusing on her own international talent development company, Lander Consultancy.
Commenting on her new role, Bowen said: “I am incredibly excited to be taking the lead in managing and further developing APSCo’s personal development offering. This is a perfect opportunity for me to exercise my passion for training and development and to share my wealth of sector-specific experience.”
She added: “Here at APSCo we have some of the most experienced, dynamic and successful specialist trainers from the worlds of recruitment, sales and leadership at our disposal. Building on Fiona’s strong foundations, we will continue to offer professional recruiters at every stage of their career the opportunity to take their skills to the next level – to the benefit of not only their own businesses, but also the wider recruitment profession.”
Ann Swain, CEO at APSCo, said Bowen was the “perfect candidate to lead APSCo PD on the next stage of its journey”.
She concluded: “As demand for training continues to grow, I have no doubt that her previous experience in this area, coupled with her existing relationships with members, will be a huge asset to the APSCo team.”
