Petroplan, which recruits for the oil, gas and energy industry, is launching a new office in the city centre of Glasgow.
It aims to draw on the city’s rich talent pool of professionals with experience throughout the energy sector supply chain, and work more closely with clients across the central belt of Scotland – including key locations such as Grangemouth, Edinburgh, and Helensburgh.
The Glasgow team will be led by regional director Kenny Dooley (pictured).
He said: “People don’t typically tend to associate Glasgow with oil and gas. However, with a significant number of service companies, fabrication companies and machine shops being situated along the central belt of Scotland, this move gives Petroplan a stronger local presence, while allowing us to offer our full range of services to a wider client base, and respond rapidly to our clients’ needs.”
The launch of Petroplan’s new office coincides with plans for the University of Strathclyde to open a new Oil and Gas Institute, to address some of the skills shortages in the sector.
The new location is Petroplan’s fourth office in the UK, joining Aberdeen, London, and Guildford.
