Finance, accountancy and office support recruitment business, Cherry Professional, has created a new HR division.
In response to a growing demand from clients for HR staff, the dedicated team will be launched by Laura Smith (pictured, right).
Smith is an experienced HR recruiter and will be targeting companies across the East Midlands.
“I’m delighted to be joining Cherry Professional and I’m looking forward to helping our clients across the region find great candidates,” she said.
Martin Burnett, director of Cherry Professional, added: “Our new human resources division was created due to client demand – we listen. We planned it carefully and once we knew we could get Laura we moved very quickly. It is great news for our clients that she’s with us.”
In addition to introducing its new HR division, Cherry Professional has continued to invest in other areas of its business with the appointment of Lucy Clarkson (pictured, left). Clarkson will recruit for the clerical finance market across Derby.
Before joining Cherry Professional, she completed a year recruiting engineers for contracts in the Netherlands. “I believe building a strong relationship with the client and candidate is vital for success in recruitment,” she said. “I am excited about my future at Cherry Professional.”
The company will also be hosting a breakfast seminar, “How to hire, so you don’t need to fire!” on 2 October at the East Midlands Conference Centre. Places are limited, so please visit www.hire-fire.eventbrite.co.uk to book your seat now.
“The recovery is on its way and we’re keen to help and provide information on how best to hire and retain staff,” Burnett added.
