A well-known Yorkshire recruiter has launched a senior level and executive search and selection business, specialising in business critical appointments.
David Winterburn brings more than 26 years’ recruitment experience to his new venture, known as Burns Tempest, including the past 17 years which has been gained working in retained executive search.
From its offices in Leeds and London, Burns Tempest will fill roles that typically pay an annual salary of between £50,000 and £500,000.
Winterburn previously founded renowned Leeds-based headhunter Harrison Winterburn Associates, before he was approached to establish the successful executive search company 4c in Belfast.
“After spending more than two years doing a weekly commute to Belfast, I feel the time is right to return to Yorkshire and there is a gap in the market for a best of breed, executive search company that can give every client a completely bespoke service,” said Winterburn.
“I have a great track record of being able to find leaders, who will innovate and make a positive difference in an organisation, and this is what Burns Tempest will become renowned for.”
Winterburn has also been chair of the REC and the Association of Executive Recruiters. He is a past president of the European Confederation of Search and Selection Associations.
He has won a number of awards, most notably the Eileen Simpson Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the recruitment industry.
