Experienced oil and gas consultant Isabel MacVicar has rejoined NES Global Talent at its Aberdeen office.
With 16 years’ recruitment experience, MacVicar joins from Infinity Resources in Aberdeen. Prior to that, she worked at NES Global Talent for 3.5 years.
“I was looking for a new challenge,” she said. “I had a number of other offers but I enjoyed working with NES Global Talent previously and this was my preference when I decided it was time for a change.”
MacVicar will focus on recruiting for oil and gas operators and service companies based in Aberdeen.
“One of the biggest challenges in the oil and gas sector is the ageing workforce,” she said. “There’s a shortage of young people coming up through the ranks with the level of experience that our clients are looking for. However, in the last few years we have seen an increased number of younger people embark on careers in oil and gas, which is encouraging. The market in Aberdeen is very buoyant and there are lots of opportunities available.”
Craig Paterson, associate director at NES Global Talent, added: “There is a huge amount of competition for top recruitment talent in Aberdeen and we are delighted that Isabel has decided to re-join our company.”
