Gosforth-based recruitment firm Coleman James has announced a new senior appointment to head up its Architectural division.
Dave Clazey joins the firm as Associate and will be exclusively focused on working with the team to find the best candidates to fill graduate to director level roles in the architecture industry.
One of his clients is behind the RIBA Award-winning Hebburn Central community hub, a building design that has achieved both regional and national accolades.
Coleman James was launched by Andrew Mackay to service the recruitment needs for national and international organisations in the construction and built environment sectors with ambitious growth plans for the coming year.
Andrew commented on Dave’s appointment: “We’re very fortunate to have attracted Dave Clazey, one of the leading recruiters for the architecture industry with vast experience servicing the recruitment needs of architecture firms across the country. As Associate he’ll be bringing his wealth of experience and knowledge to Coleman James clients on a regional, national and international level.”
With a proven track record in recruitment, Dave established his career in London working for CDI Anderselite, the national technical recruiter, where he spent 16 years with the latter eight situated in the North East.
Dave said: “When I first started in recruitment I was shadowing an architect who had moved into recruitment and I found the work he was doing fascinating. This enabled me to gain an in-depth understanding of both the design and technical requirements needed to succeed within the industry.
“My strong architectural sector knowledge has given me a competitive edge throughout my career and as a result I’ve placed architectural staff with the full spectrum of architectural clients including award winning AJ100 practices, global consultancies and small bespoke studios.”
