Sonovate, the provider of contract finance to recruitment companies, has appointed Rhys David as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Rhys has a strong background in data, architecture and delivery and comes to Sonovate from price comparison website Gocompare.com, where he spent two years as Head of IT delivery, business intelligence and analytics.
Speaking of his new role, Rhys commented: “It’s an exciting time to join Sonovate. The company has grown rapidly in the four years it’s been around, and I’m delighted to be joining the team as they prepare to launch new products and look to build a presence in Europe and the USA. As CTO, I look forward to supporting Sonovate’s continued growth.”
Sonovate was founded in 2012 by former recruiters Richard Prime and Damon Chapple as a solution to the restrictive invoice finance on offer to recruitment agencies placing contractors. Sonovate also provides back office contractor management technology to overcome both the cashflow and administrative challenges that these recruitment agencies face.
“Rhys is a great addition to the team,” commented Damon Chapple, Co-founder and Co-CEO of Sonovate. “He has a wealth of technical, commercial and leadership experience which will prove invaluable for the journey ahead. He will help with shaping Sonovate to be a global scalable tech platform.”
Sonovate recently announced a £14 million Series B funding round led by Global Founders Capital, which will be used to help fuel the company’s continued growth. To date, Sonovate now employs 100 people, up from just 25 last year.
