Recruitment Director appointed Trustee of award-winning charity

Nikki Kinsey, Associate Director of recruitment specialist Sellick Partnership, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of award-winning charity, The Maria Hanson Foundation (me&dee), along with her husband Nick.

Nikki has been a strong advocate of the Foundation since 2014 and along with her team at Sellick Partnership has raised almost £5,000 for the cause. Nikki was previously an Ambassador for the Foundation and has been working closely with founder Maria Hanson (MBE) to help build awareness and raise the profile of the charity.

Nikki is delighted to have been chosen and is extremely keen to get more involved: “The Maria Hanson Foundation is a cause very close to my heart and I am truly honoured to be asked to join the Board of Trustees. The work the charity does is so important, and I hope my commercial experience can offer a fresh approach to help the charity grow even further.

“The charity is run purely on public donations, and I really hope that both Nick and I can help open new doors and create opportunities to help take me&dee to the next level. We are beyond excited to continue our work with the Foundation and are delighted that we can lend our support to Maria and the team and help secure the foundations’ success.”

The Foundation arranges holidays for adults and children with life-limiting conditions and was formed by Maria in 2006 to create special moments and memories to ensure families share distinctive experiences when time is precious. More recently, me&dee has started working with serving and ex-serving military personnel who have sustained serious injury and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) through their service, offering them respite when it is needed most.

The trustees, who all dedicate their free time, play a vital role in ensuring that me&dee continues to support families, servicemen and women who are going through difficult times.

Maria Hanson said: “I am over the moon to welcome Nikki and Nick to The Maria Hanson Foundation Board of Trustees. Nikki has been a great advocate for the charity, having been our Ambassador for the past eighteen months.

“Nikki is passionate and committed to helping me grow the charity and will continue to use her commercial experience to help assist me in strategic planning going forward. Nikki and Nick both understand the vision of the charity which is vital, and share my passion to treat families with great empathy and care during times of great hardship. I am truly excited for what the future holds, and I am grateful for their continued support.”

It is hoped that the combined expertise of Nikki and Nick will broaden and enhance the Foundation, bringing to the table an exciting blend of commercial and practical skills while injecting a sense of camaraderie to the team.
