On-demand staffing platform Coople has announced the appointment of Jacques de la Bouillerie as its new UK Managing Director, and Matt Knight as its Chief Marketing Officer.
Jacques de la Bouillerie joins Coople with over 15 years’ extensive experience with business transformation and leadership in companies at various stages of development. He was previously heading up operations, technology and business development at Renault Retail Group UK, before moving to e-commerce marketplace Groupon where, as COO for northern Europe, he led the operational transformation and restructuring of the business, shifting Groupon’s business model from a daily deal business to a marketplace model.
Jacques will head up Coople’s UK development, overseeing the business’ expansion from Switzerland, along with its commercial and operations strategy. Commenting on his new appointment, he said: “Coople’s innovation and credibility in the staffing and recruitment sector is exceptional, so I had no hesitation in joining the company to launch and expand its offering into the UK market. I’m looking forward to building Coople’s proposition to the same level of success that we’ve had Switzerland, and beyond.”
Matt Knight also joins Coople as its Chief Marketing Officer, and will lead Coople’s global marketing strategy and international roll-out of plans to raise the brand’s profile and drive sales in new markets and target sectors. With 17 years’ experience in marketing and analytics, Matt was previously Head of Marketing, Insight and Communication at Ocado for three years from 2010, before moving to e-commerce giant ASOS.com in 2013 as its global Head of CRM and Insight.
He added: “Coople has a great product, exceptional team, first-class backing and a strong track record in Switzerland. We have a fantastic opportunity to disrupt the global staffing market and I am very excited about joining the Coople team to help with its global expansion.”
Coople enables businesses to hire qualified staff in minutes through its online dashboard and mobile app. The company launched in the UK this year after building its success as Staff Finder in Switzerland, where it has grown to become Europe’s number one on-demand staffing platform.
