Interim management recruitment firm, Odgers Interim, has established a dedicated referencing team in response to growing demand for detailed background checks on senior appointments.
Former solicitor Sally Havers, who has previously held roles at City law firm Herbert Smith Freehills and the Treasury Solicitor, will lead the offering, which includes professional referencing, and criminal, financial and tribunal checks.
The announcement comes as businesses and organisations across the private and public sector face increasing legislative and commercial requirements to conduct extensive due diligence on new appointments. The team will support the firm’s consultants, who already provide sector-specific support and advice to interims and clients.
Havers said: “Interims applying for senior leadership and non-executive director positions are under increasing scrutiny. More than ever, interims need to understand fully what is required of them and have all the necessary information to meet clients’ exacting expectations.
“The referencing team will underpin the sector specific expertise of our consultants to ensure that all interims have undergone systematic and thorough-going due diligence checks.”
