Kent teacher recruitment specialist hires De Almeida

Kent teacher recruitment specialist hires De AlmeidaAn award-winning teacher recruitment agency based in Ashford, Kent, has welcomed its newest team member amid mounting demand to recruit quality teachers across the county.

Alexandra De Almeida joins Three R’s Teacher Recruitment as Recruitment Consultant and will take a lead on recruiting teachers for special educational needs and independent schools across Kent, as well as assisting colleagues with recruitment and sales for primary schools.

Speaking about her appointment, Alexandra said: “I have worked in various recruitment and HR roles across different sectors including banking, travel, IT, and education in France and more recently in the UK. Although I only learnt English four years ago, I’ve picked up the language very quickly and I’ve really taken to life in the UK.

“One of the biggest challenges in education recruitment is being able to work in a fast-paced environment as some bookings we deal with are very urgent and need to be filled within five minutes. The role is really varied and I’m enjoying myself so far; and it’s very satisfying to meet so many excellent teachers and help them to find a job in an environment that will make them love each day at work.”

Alexandra lives in Ashford, having moved to the UK from her native France in 2013. She already holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and is currently studying for the Institute of Recruitment Professionals’ Level 3 Certificate in Recruitment Practice, as well as undertaking internal training and job shadowing to learn the ropes at Three R’s Teacher Recruitment.

Rebecca Parkhouse, Director at Three R’s Teacher Recruitment, said: “It’s no secret that there is a teacher shortage in Kent and we identified the need to bring in additional resources to ensure we can meet the increased demand for supply teachers across the county.

“We’re really pleased to have recruited Alexandra; she has plenty of relevant experience in recruitment and has already demonstrated her commitment to further her knowledge of the recruitment and education sectors. She has integrated into the team very well and we look forward to working with her for many years to come.”
