Goodson Thomas welcomes new office and employees

(Photo by Matthew Horwood)A fast-growing headhunting firm has opened a new office and appointed two new employees after winning several significant assignments.

The Cardiff-based Goodson Thomas has moved to new premises in Morganstown, north Cardiff and taken on a consultant and an associate consultant, both of whom are experienced in the search industry.

Consultant Sam Smith joins after delivering assignments over three years in Dubai as a senior consultant for executive search business Beresford, Wilson & Partners.

Associate Consultant Cerys Jones joins with a rich experience of professional services spanning financial, legal and real estate, including the Think Money Group in Manchester and Principality Building Society, and spent five years with boutique search business The Winchester Partnership.

Founder Sian Goodson launched Goodson Thomas as a boutique executive search firm in July 2015. In just under two years, the company has experienced rapid growth and delivered 23 search assignments for the likes of Principality Building Society, TrakCel, BESA, National Theatre Wales, National Museum Wales, Pobl Group, the Institute of Welsh Affairs and the Care Council for Wales. The firm recently moved into new premises in Ty-Nant Court, Morganstown to allow for future growth and is currently reviewing its social media and SEO strategy to ensure it capitalises on its growing profile.

Sian said: “I am proud we have achieved so much in such a short space of time in what is a very competitive marketplace. We have lived up to our aspiration to be a truly generalist search business, having worked in a range of industries across the public, private and third sectors.

“I think our agility, and our creativity when it comes to how we manage our assignments is what sets us apart from the competition. We are immersed in our markets which ensures we maintain a thorough knowledge of market trends, movements and insight. Sharing our expertise and real-time knowledge makes us valuable search partners for our clients. We invest a lot of time and effort to ensure the client achieves best value and an excellent outcome.

“With a new base from which to build on our operations with our two great new starters, who are both crucial to our growth plans, I am excited and confident about the future for Goodson Thomas,” she added.
