Former welder Emma Albritton has joined recruitment specialist TeamJobs’ Technical division.
Emma, 23, from Wimborne, will be drawing on her practical expertise to deliver the best candidates to clients including Honeywell Analytics, makers of gas detectors, in Poole. The former Avonbourne Girls School pupil, who is also a keen horsewoman, discovered a talent for welding on the Blacksmithing course at Kingston Maurward College.
She said: “I went on to take the Welding, Fabrication & Engineering course at Paragon College and later joined Iracroft Ltd in Blandford, where I reached A1 standard in MIG welding before moving on to the stainless steel TIG welding department.”
Emma added: “I was later promoted to an improvement coordinator role, but after three years in welding I looked for a career that would use my practical skills and experience, as well as teaching me new ones.
“I’m very excited to be joining TeamJobs as a technical recruiter. Recruitment is obviously a completely different environment to welding, but I’m enjoying being part of a team and working for high profile clients like Honeywell.”
TeamJobs’ managing director, Jason Gault, said: “Emma is a great addition to TeamJobs and I’ve no doubt that her go-getter attitude and excellent practical skills will enable her find our clients the very best candidates.”
