Encore appoints new Business Development Manager

Recruitment consultancy Encore Personnel has appointed a new Business Development Manager to join its Leeds office.

With 23 years of experience in the recruitment sector, Joe Burrows previously worked for Huddersfield-based recruitment agency Major Recruitment.

Commenting on his new role, Joe said: “I’m delighted to join the Encore team. I have been working in the industry since 1993 and specialise in industrial, logistical and skilled and technical recruitment. I’ve been really impressed with Encore as a company and their training programmes and internal incentives are what attracted me to the agency.

“This is a really exciting time to join Encore. The business is rapidly expanding and reaching out to new geographical areas.”

Karen Haywood, Leeds Area Manager for Encore, said: “We are delighted to welcome Joe – his local knowledge and industrial expertise are already proving to be a real asset to the company.”

She added: “Having Joe on board will be a real boost to the office and help the business to grow and expand into Yorkshire for our managed service division. In three years we have grown this division from two clients to 13, all in the Midlands, so we are now concentrating on Yorkshire.”

Specialising in the industrial, technical, transport and energy recruitment sectors, Encore places more than 3,500 temporary and permanent workers every week across the UK. Currently employing more than 150 members of staff, the firm is looking to recruit 50 more employees internally this year to meet growing demand.
