Placeability, an agency that specialises in helping individuals with long-term barriers get back to work, has announced that its CSR account manager has been awarded a Mitie Foundation Business Partner Award.
Sarah Sanders (pictured, centre) won the award for developing training provision for a programme based in the North West. The ‘Ready2Work’ programme combines a pre-placement training week with seven weeks’ work experience and interview/CV workshops for individuals struggling to get into work. An employers’ day is also held at the end of each programme to give candidates the opportunity to be interviewed by all employers involved.
A charity that aims to raise aspirations for people of all backgrounds to enter the workplace, the Mitie Foundation has a partnership with the Ready2Work programme, in which placeability plays “an integral role” according to its head, Kate Clarke.
“We are delighted to specifically recognise Sarah’s valuable contribution with a Business Partner 2014 Award,” she added.
Matthew Sanders, CEO of placeability, said: “I am extremely proud of Sarah’s achievements and this award is recognition for all of her hard work and commitment in helping people with long-term barriers to get back into work”.
