September has already seen the launch of Hanning Recruitment, a recruitment firm which aims to revolutionise the real estate jobs market with its fresh, strategic approach.
The company is the brainchild of founder and managing director Toby Speke, who has been backed by two of London’s best-connected agents, Rory Penn and Thomas Van Straubenzee of prime London agency VanHan.
Together, the team has over 30 years’ industry experience, along with the detailed market knowledge and motivation to transform perceptions of what has been a much-maligned sector. Toby and his team are all MRICS qualified, and between them have worked with some of the industry’s biggest names, including VanHan (which they co-founded), Knight Frank, Grosvenor, Palmer Capital and Strutt & Parker.
Headquartered in Mayfair, Hanning Recruitment will focus its attention on both the residential and commercial sectors. The firm already boasts a market-leading black book of top talent in the industry, and has already seen significant interest in its candidates from property companies, developers, funds, banks, private equity firms and consultancies.
Commenting about the launch of the company, founder and managing director Toby Speke said: “The recruitment industry is often criticised for being overly opportunistic. With the creation of Hanning Recruitment, we wanted to set a new benchmark for the sector in terms of quality and service. Our extensive experience and connectivity across both the commercial and residential sectors means that we have first-hand knowledge of what clients and candidates need. We either know or can identify the best candidates, and introduce them to their dream jobs, from graduate roles to more senior positions at Director or Partner level. Hanning designs bespoke recruitment plans for clients – this isn’t about short-term fixes, but long-term strategic solutions, which ultimately yield greater business benefits.”
Hanning Recruitment is currently accepting CVs for a range of positions across investment/finance, asset management, land and development, general practice, prop tech and construction.
