Search, interim management and development consultancy Veredus has appointed Julia Roberts as the new director of its education practice.
In her new position she will draw on her extensive experience of working with higher education providers including Oxford and Cambridge Universities and Imperial College, London.
Roberts has a long history of working in the recruitment arena including her time at both Execucare and Peridot Partners, where she was director of the fundraising practices and delivered bespoke campaigns to provide fundraising recruitment solutions for a range of businesses.
At Veredus, she will be responsible for developing and growing new and existing relationships with clients.
Commenting on her move, she said: “I was well aware of Veredus, as a former employer operating in the same sector, and knew all about the quality of work that the organisation was undertaking. Education is my passion and joining Veredus means my chances of having a larger impact across a range of institutions have greatly increased.”
Jerry Gray, Veredus’ managing director, added: “Hiring Julia is a crucial part of our ongoing growth strategy as we continue to secure the very best talent in the sector. She has an intimate knowledge of the higher education field and brings fresh thinking and ideas to the business, which are ideal qualities for the team at Veredus. Julia’s track record speaks for itself and she has a history of developing valuable, long-term relationships that can aid us and our clients.”
