Technology investor and entrepreneur Mark Farmer is to join recruitment and executive search software provider Invenias as chairman of the board.
Co-founder of venture capitalists Eden Ventures and technology provider Cramer Systems, Farmer (pictured) has also invested privately in the recruitment provider’s business, which has just secured a total $2 million funding, to enable the company to expand internationally.
A previous $1.5 million round of funding in July 2013 saw Farmer team up with funding managers MMC in order to support Invenias’ product development and acquisition plans.
Invenias has recently been listed in the British Venture Capital Association’s ‘Britain’s Hot Talent’ – the 100 most inventive, exciting and fastest-growing companies in the UK today.
“It’s been an exciting and busy eight months for the team at Invenias – from growing the business to further developing the product,” said David Grundy, CEO and co-founder of Invenias.
“This latest funding from MMC Ventures and Mark Farmer will allow us to continue this momentum and further expand our international plans. Mark’s experience of building businesses is invaluable and we look forward to working together.”
