Global executive search and management firm Savannah Group has recently announced that Damian Walsh has joined the firm as a partner in their Industrial practice and as head of the firm’s Board & CEO Practice.
In an international career spanning 30 years, Damian has worked with leadership teams across multiple geographies and sectors including Natural Resources, Manufacturing & Distribution, Technology, Infrastructure, Media & Entertainment and Professional Services. He brings insight into effective leadership, management and governance and a strong point of view about the keys to success in business, particularly in challenging environments.
Damian recently left Heidrick & Struggles where he was a partner and a member of its Global Industrial and Board & CEO Practices. Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, Damian was managing director at a global management consultancy supporting many of the world’s largest companies in large-scale strategy execution. In his earlier career, Damian enjoyed more than 20 years as a partner in Ernst & Young (now EY), initially in Australia and then in then New York and London, where he has lived with his family since 2000.
Damian is also a non-executive director of Arqiva Group Limited and a non-executive director of the Australia – United Kingdom Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Australia & New Zealand and a member of the Institute of Directors.
