Rethink Group announces appointment of new CEO

Rethink Group announces appointment of new CEOGlobal recruitment and talent management business Rethink Group has announced the appointment of Andy Lord as CEO.

Andy, whose recruitment career spans more than 20 years, is one of Rethink’s founding directors and has held senior positions on the Group’s board since its inception in 2005.

He will now manage all Group divisions including ReThink Recruitment – of which Lord was formerly MD – RTM, Berkley in Ireland, Cognita and the recently acquired Digital Gurus.

He said: “I am thrilled to be CEO of this fascinating business and currently have a huge smile on my face which I imagine will remain for years to come.

“I’ve watched Rethink grow from humble beginnings into the multi-million pound, international operation it is today. 2016’s been a year of change which has resulted in us having a spectacular portfolio of flourishing recruitment brands – something bolstered by our acquisition of Digital Gurus back in April.

“I’ll be building on that portfolio as we continue to help our clients with our suite of market leading offerings.”

The new CEO has also outlined the specific issues he will be tackling as part of his tenure, including the digital skills gap – something Andy has been a pioneer of in 2016 – as well as advising clients on strategic talent management.

He continued: “My priority here will be to invest in our people and networks to ensure Rethink is perfectly placed to holistically advise clients as they battle recruitment issues.

“There’s a prevailing skills gap in the digital sector and, as CEO, I’ll do everything I can to help clients tangibly address this, including training and nurturing my colleagues to ensure they’re equipped to make change happen. I hope that will make Rethink the best recruitment company to work for in the process.”

Rethink Group was founded in 2005 and now operates out of offices in the UK, Ireland, Middle East and Australia, employing more than 200 people.
