UK recruitment solutions firm Resource Solutions Group (RSG) has appointed Tom Parnell as Director of ‘The HR World’ thought-leadership forum.
Tom has been with the group for six years, starting as Relationship Manager, then progressing to Operations Manager before taking on his new role at the plc’s Bristol headquarters in April.
The HR World is a peer group of senior HR executives sharing opinions, thoughts and experiences. The members-only hub is facilitated on LinkedIn, but exists across a range of platforms and events including diner debates, breakfast briefings and webinars.
Tom’s role will be to expand The HR World’s reach and scope, bringing together the HR industry’s senior leaders to promote best practice.
He said: “Where we add value is an extensive and exclusive network of very senior people, so the thought-leadership is ‘best in show’. The people we attract are senior, but very relationship-driven and want to add value to the HR community.
“There’s a lot of interest in Brexit at the moment, but it’s important to remember there are many other issues and HR’s senior leaders should be offering a public voice.”
Tom added: “It’s a great opportunity. Building relationships across the industry has always been important to me. Getting out into the HR community is what I’m really passionate about.”
Originally founded in 1975, RSG (Resource Solutions Group) has grown from a single recruitment company based in Bristol into a multimillion pound, UK-wide network of expert recruitment businesses. With headquarters in Bristol, RSG has offices across the UK including London, Edinburgh. Manchester and Cardiff, and its first mainland European base has just opened in Munich.
