NRG appoints three new board members

NRG appoints three new board membersNorth-east headquartered recruitment company NRG has recently announced the appointment of three new board-level appointments.

Leanne Chambers (client solutions director) and James Carss (group business development director) have been appointed to the company’s board of directors from January 2018.

NRG has also confirmed the appointment of a new finance director to join the team. Mark Smales joins NRG in January 2018 and will join Leanne and James on the board of directors. Most recently financial controller at Mini Mobile, Mark will replace Scott Mounsey, who leaves NRG after three years.

Leanne has worked at NRG for the past 12 years and is a current member of the Executive Leadership team. Having held operational and strategic roles across NRG’s RPO business, Leanne leads delivery teams across the UK for several key clients in the Financial Services, Utilities, Retail and Health sectors.  This year Leanne was instrumental in driving the launch of the company’s new recruitment outsourcing solution business, greenbean by NRG.

James re-joined NRG in early 2017 – the business he worked for 17 years previously – relocating back to the North East to manage NRG’s core recruitment teams. James has significant experience working within Executive Search and Selection firms across the UK, Asia and North America and is currently head of executive search & selection and group business development director at NRG.

Mark has 11 years’ finance experience across a variety of sectors including Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals and Tool Hire. Mark joins NRG from Mobile Mini, providers of secure portable storage solutions, where he was the Financial Controller for the past three years. Born and bred in the North East, Mark is passionate about the region.

“Having worked with NRG in the past I am delighted to be joining the team. I am looking forward to being part of NRG’s ambitious plans for continued growth,” explained Mark

Founder and chairman of NRG, Lorna Moran OBE, welcomes Leanne, James and Mark to join the board of directors. “I’m confident that Leanne, James and Mark will bring a lot of knowledge and experience to the board, with a great insight on how the business is to move forward in the future.

“The agility of the recruitment services offered by NRG allows us to adapt to changing client needs and business demands. With an excellent business model in place and a passionate team, we remain confident of further and continued growth.

“I’d like to thank Scott Mounsey, Finance Director at NRG who will step down from the board of NRG when he leaves the company in February 2018. Scott has provided strategic financial guidance to the board during his three years. We wish him well in his new position.”

The NRG Board of Directors also includes Therese Liddle, chief executive, and Wayham Moran, company secretary and executive director.
