Grassroots appoints new director of business development

North West-based RPO consultancy Grassroots Recruitment has announced the appointment of a new business development director. With over 15 years’ recruiting experience, Steven Byrne (formerly associate director at Morson International) is a specialist in information technology, cyber security and security cleared recruitment.

Byrne (pictured) commented: “I am delighted to have joined the team at Grassroots; it’s a company I have respected for a number of years. The opportunity to add to the growth of the existing Professional Services division as well as establishing a presence in the Technical contract market is particularly exciting.”

Richard Brown, managing director at Grassroots added: “We are delighted to secure Steven’s appointment – his passion and enthusiasm for the sector is infectious. With the IT Contract market forecast to grow considerably in the coming year against a backdrop of technical skills shortages, Steven’s previous success in new client acquisition and significant sector expertise will offer Grassroots a competitive edge in our target markets.”
