De Poel scores hat-trick of new appointments

Due to rapid business growth, temporary recruiter de Poel has made a trio of key appointments across their core and healthcare divisions.

Stephen Lenehan has been appointed as Head of Projects, and Phil Rudge and George Psomas as Business Development Managers. With over 35 years’ collective industry experience, they all share extensive knowledge of recruitment, the NHS and private healthcare sectors.

Having previously worked for the NHS, Serco Health and Medacs, Stephen joins directly from leading health and social care provider Care UK, where he led the mobilisation of key projects across the UK. Prior to this, Stephen operated his own project management consultancy.

As Head of Projects, Stephen will oversee the implementation and project management of new clients not just within the NHS and private healthcare sectors, but across de Poel’s entire client base – including logistics, retail and waste management.

Joining the company as a former Client Workforce Solutions Director at Talent HCM, Phil was responsible for selling their neutral vendor staffing solution to the NHS, managing their bid, compliance and audit teams, seeing the process right through from the initial meeting to the Go Live date.

Phil’s consultative approach and influence has seen him support the expansion of multiple businesses within the healthcare and recruitment space and he looks forward to supporting the Group in hitting their ambitious £1bn sales target by 2017.

Having originally cut his teeth in recruitment 10 years ago as a 360-degree consultant at Mortimer Spinks (part of Harvey Nash Group), George joins from HCL Workforce Solutions, with previous experience also of working at Talent HCM.

George is passionate about helping NHS Trusts to achieve significant efficiencies, improvements and sustainability through innovative, cost-effective solutions and streamlined processes, in what is a decidedly turbulent climate.

Andrew Preston, de Poel Group MD, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Stephen, Phil and George to our projects and business development teams. Not only do they share an abundance of knowledge within the recruitment, NHS and healthcare sectors, but each have their own individual talents, know-how and experience to bring to the table.

“Our people are an asset to helping de Poel Group achieve its ambitious goals and I wish them every success in helping to drive the business forward in 2016 and beyond.”
