Capita appoints McQueen to lead workplace services division

Outsourcing solutions specialist Capita has appointed Nicola McQueen as Executive Director of its Workplace Services division, which includes all of Capita’s HR and recruitment businesses.

McQueen has been Managing Director of Capita Resourcing since 2010. Along with her promotion as of 1 June, she has also been appointed to Capita’s Executive Management Board.

In her new role, she will be responsible for the Recruiting Partnering Project, Capita’s high-profile partnership with the MOD to recruit Officers and Soldiers into the British Army and Army Reserve. She will also oversee several other large-scale recruitment contracts in central and local government, as well as nuclear and financial services.

McQueen said: “Capita’s expertise and experience in the recruitment sector is fantastic, and our businesses continue to go from strength to strength. Working in such a diverse business has really opened my eyes up to the possibilities we can create by bringing together complementary services.”

The division also includes a range of businesses that support clients through the whole employment life-cycle, providing pre-employment screening, employer branding, search and selection, temporary staffing, payroll administration and HR advice.

Dawn Marriott-Sims, Capita’s Joint Chief Operating Officer, commented on McQueen’s promotion: “Nicola’s progression through the business and new role as Executive Director of Workplace Services division recognises her passion, talent and dedication to the Group.

“She has successfully grown her businesses and created excellent teams. She has a real passion for delivering an outstanding service to clients. Her promotion is a great example of the opportunities available to all within Capita, based on individual merit. I and my fellow Group Board colleagues are delighted to recognise her talent with this well-deserved promotion.”
