APSCo announces chair of its new Representative Committee

The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) has announced that its newly appointed Representative Committee has elected Pete Holliday, managing director of Sopra Steria Recruitment, as chair.

Jon Cox, recruitment director at CCL Global, will take the position of vice chair.

Commenting on his appointment, Pete Holliday said: “As a member and ambassador of APSCo since 2001, I am passionate about best practice within the recruitment profession.

“For this reason, I’m honoured that my fellow members have chosen me to chair this committee as we make important decisions which will impact not only APSCo, but also the wider recruitment sector moving forward.

“The businesses I have led over many years have operated as boutique and SME businesses as well as large MSPs, managing both contract and permanent recruitment, and I hope this will bring a unique perspective to representing the interests of APSCo’s diverse membership. In particular, I believe I can add value to the critical debate and issues between smaller recruitment businesses and the larger RPOs which engage them.

“I am delighted that, through my position as chair, I can further help APSCo to extend its reach and add value to the members and the great profession we represent.”
On becoming vice chair, Jon Cox said: “This will be my fourth term on APSCo’s representative committee and I am delighted to once again serve our membership, this time as vice chair. This term will span a very exciting period: Brexit, GDPR-fallout, and bursting through 1,000+ members mark and I’m looking forward to making a difference during this crucial time.”

Ann Swain, Chief Executive of APSCo, added: “I’m thrilled to welcome our new chair and vice chair. These are extremely prestigious positions and both Pete and Jon come with glowing credentials and a breadth of experience which make them each a perfect fit for their respective roles. Congratulations to them both.”
