Acorn’s Wrexham branch to grow

Acorn’s Wrexham branch to growSpecialist recruitment firm Acorn has made two key appointments at its Wrexham branch in response to growing employment opportunities across North Wales.

Victoria Huxley is promoted to North Wales Recruitment Manager in recognition her success as Wrexham Team Manager. Victoria, who has been with Acorn for four years, will oversee temporary recruitment throughout the region, supporting the Wrexham and Flint branches to provide a specialist recruitment service to businesses throughout North Wales.

Subsequently, Victoria has already made a strategic appointment, welcoming Christopher Johnson as a recruitment consultant to the Wrexham branch. Christopher is an expert in warehouse and logistics recruitment and will help grow these sectors as well as supporting new business clients within the commercial and technical industries.

As well as expanding the Wrexham team, Victoria is keen to add staff at the Flint branch and is currently recruiting for an account manager and a recruitment consultant.

Speaking about her plans for the North Wales team, she said: “We are all very excited about employment prospects in the area and I hope that by adding to our team we will be in a perfect position to help local businesses with their recruitment growth plans.

“There is a lot going on throughout the area and every day we’re seeing increases in roles like skilled machinists and assemblers as well as fork lift truck drivers, both reach and sideloader. In response to the increasing demand companies are becoming more competitive with their pay grades, which allows further career prospects for people in the area.”

Christian Ash, Acorn’s North Regional Manager added: “Since joining Acorn, Victoria has gone from strength to strength and this promotion is testament to all that she has achieved in her time with us.

“There are some great opportunities in North Wales at the moment and by building the Wrexham and Flint teams, Victoria will be in a perfect position to ensure job seekers and companies benefit from her service.”
