REC has announced that several more large employers have joined its Good Recruitment Campaign, which is aimed at promoting best practice in recruitment.
Since the campaign launched a total of 73 organisations have signed the Good Recruitment Charter, pledging to promote diversity and inclusion, offer flexible working arrangements, provide an excellent candidate experience and lead the way to promote best recruitment practices.
The latest organisations to sign up to the campaign include EY, River Island, Jaguar Land Rover, Johnson & Johnson, Wincanton, SAB Miller, Leeds NHS Trust and WaterAid.
REC chief executive Kevin Green said: “The Good Recruitment Campaign is resonating with businesses and public sector bodies across different industries, with signatories including global brands recognising the value it can bring.
“We want to bring these organisations together to learn from each other, and ultimately to help businesses large and small get better at bringing in and keeping hold of talented people. This is vital at a time when demand for quality candidates is high and employers are struggling to find the people they need.
“By joining the campaign you are making a public commitment to good practice in recruitment. In turn, signatories are seeing the benefits of being recognised as an employer of choice.”
The new signatories join organisations from across the private and public sectors, including Kellogg’s, Diageo, Yell, PepsiCo, McDonald’s, Mercedes-Benz, Santander, First Group, Royal Mail, G4S and RWE npower.
The campaign is also supported by the CIPD, The FIRM, the Institute of Leadership and Management, the Federation of Small Businesses, the Direct Employers Association, the Confederation of Business Industry, NHS Employers and ACAS.
