A free compliance guide for recruitment businesses has been released by Standards in Recruitment (SiR), the industry’s independent compliance accreditation programme.

The guide offers real-life examples that recruitment businesses need to be aware of to ensure that they operate within the current relevant legislation for the recruitment industry. Each example outlines a typical scenario and concludes with ways they can be addressed. The topics in the guide include commonly overlooked compliance procedures and how to address them, including checking candidates’ right to work and notifying clients of an opt-out.

Commenting on the guide, John Randall, Engagement Director for SiR said: “Being compliant does not need to be complex but sometimes it’s easy to overlook small yet important processes.
